CIFE research is featured in an article in Stanford Report, "Stanford researchers automate process for acquiring detailed building information". The article discusses an innovative approach to collecting data on older buildings for which automated information does not exist.

Martin Fischer gave the opening keynote lecture at the 4th BIM Conference in the Middle East in Dubai on May 23, 2016. Several CIFE members also presented (Autodesk, Bexcel, CCC, and MT Højgaard) and examples from many other members were presented, including DPR, Max Bögl, Mortenson, RIB, Rhumbix, and VIA Technik.

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met on May 10th and had the difficult task of selecting amongst thirteen interesting and diverse proposals.  Based on the input from the TAC, CIFE is pleased to announce that the following projects have been selected as the CIFE seed projects for the 2016-17 academic year:
