CIFE Welcomes new executive director, Andrew Peterman

CIFE is pleased to announce that Andrew Peterman joined us as executive director on October 1.

Dr. Peterman's research interests are aimed at better understanding theories and methods to promote the integration of innovation, knowledge, and technologies across projects and organizations. Andrew's doctoral research looked at alliance networks and strategic partnerships  to promote the deployment of energy efficiency technologies and sharing of environmental knowledge across the commercial, retail, and corporate real estate building sectors. Prior to joining CIFE as Executive Director, Andrew helped lead Apple's Supplier Clean Energy Program--intended to transition Apple's manufacturing supply chain to clean energy. He led direct investments into new clean energy projects in Japan and supported the development of a first of its kind supplier-funded clean energy investment fund in China. Andrew previously worked for Arup and Walt Disney Imagineering. At Disney, he developed corporate energy and climate change strategies and received a patent along with his co-authors for new methods of predicting building energy consumption. Andrew holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford in Civil and Environmental Engineering and currently has a position at Google leading its manufacturing clean energy and energy efficiency programs.
