Categorization Scheme 1 -Latency
Indicates the delaying time between something being requested to something is received
General Formula: Delay (time)
- Response Time (Information Transfer Latency) - time to obtain information: Response Time measures the average time necessary to get critical information. For example, one metric is seeing how long it takes the architect to respond to a RFI. Ideally, the faster the response time, the better. However, it should be noted that this should not incentivize a quick response at all costs. If the architect responds quickly to an RFI, but does not adequately answer the question because he/she was in a rush to respond to the question, then additional time may be incurred in a follow-up RFI.
