Call for Seed Research Proposals - Revised for Videos and Virtual Meeting, 3/27/2020
Message regarding changes due to COVID 19.
Dear faculty, research staff, and students:
Given the current situation regarding travel and closures, we plan to hold the Technical Advisory Committee virtually this year. This will be conducted using a Zoom conference link. As such, in addition to the other proposal components, all proposal teams will be required to submit an accompanying 5-8 minute video presentation of their proposed research by April 21. Proposals, budgets, presentation slides and videos are all now due on April 21. The videos need to articulate all of the key elements outlined in your proposal, convey the criticality of the problem you intend to solve, the clear contributions of your proposed research, and articulate a clear pathway to achieving these research results. Zoom conference allows for you to record videos to the cloud. If you prefer, you can also use any other video sharing tools (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.)

The Technical Advisory Committee will review your proposals in advance of the TAC meeting on April 28. The proposal teams will then be invited to join the TAC video conference call at their assigned time and participate in an 8-10 minute Q&A session with the committee. Thank you for your flexibility on this and we look forward to reviewing your proposals.

Proposals and budget due at CIFE, 9:00 AM PDT - Submit proposal (using Proposal Template 2020 ) and budget in electronic format to cife-email@stanford.edu. Late or incomplete proposals will not be accepted.
Presentation slides due at CIFE, 9:00 AM PDT for Technical Advisory Committee Meeting - Submit, using Presentation Template 2020, in electronic format to cife-email@stanford.edu.
